Elected Officials
The following are the elected officials for the Borough of River Edge, New Jersey. Each may be contacted via email through the River Edge borough website.
Paul E. Cordts, Council President
Term - 2009-2012
Paul is a River Edge business owner who was born and raised in River Edge. He attended Roosevelt and River Dell schools. Paul serves on the River Edge Environmental Committee. Paul and his wife Patti have two young children: Abigail and Nicholas who attend Roosevelt Elementary School.
Johnny Porco, Councilman
Term - 2009-2012
Johnny is an information technology professional and consulting enterprise owner who moved to River Edge in 2006. Johnny and his wife Susana also have young children: Gabriella and twins, Christopher and Michael. His daughter attends Cherry Hill school.
Alphonse D. Bartelloni, Councilman
Term - 2010-2013
Al has resided in River Edge since 2003 with his wife Saratheresa. They have two daughters; Abigail who attends preschool at Saint Peter’s and Chloe. Al is an attorney at law and holds his juris doctorate from Rutgers Law School – Newark. He received his B.A. in Political Science and Certificate in Criminology from Rutgers College. Al is a member of the River Edge Planning Board, and is a municipal representative to the Bergen County Republican Organization.
Edward Mignone, Councilman
Term - 2010-2013
Ed and his wife Cheryl have lived in River Edge since 2002. They have two boys; Edward and James who attend Roosevelt. Ed is a professional engineer. He holds a bachelor’s and master’s degree in Civil Engineering from The Cooper Union for the Advancement of Science and Art. Ed is a licensed professional planner, certified public works manager, and certified municipal engineer in the State of New Jersey. Ed is a member of the River Edge Planning Board and is an active parishioner at St. Peter’s.
